The relations of Conflict Management Styles and Risk Problem Drinking and Drinking Problem in College students

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was aimed at find a way to intervene in the drinking-related problems of undergraduates by investigating relations with their conflict management styles, risk problem drinking and drinking problem.

Methods: The study was conducted with 386 students in 6 colleges of one area in the K province, and data were collected using the self-administered questionnaire. The statistical analysis of the research was done with SPSS 20. Data were analyzed
using frequency analysis, descriptive statistics method, t-test, variance analysis and Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficient.

Results: 98.7% of the subjects were shown to experience drinking and 72.9% among them had drinking experiences before entering colleges. The score of dominating styles was significantly high in risk problem drinkers. Dominating styles would have significant correlations with risk problem drinking and drinking problems statistically.

Conclusion: Based on the results of the research, suggestions and further studies were discussed for prevention and early intervention of their risk problem drinking and drinking problems.
